Thank you for visiting my site!
Since July, 2013, I have served on the faculty of Indiana Wesleyan University, Marion, IN, as Assistant Professor in the Master of Public Health program in the School of Health Sciences. I also teach biostatistics and epidemiology in the Master of Science in Athletic Training, the Doctor of Occupational Therapy, and the Master of Science in Nursing programs here at IWU.
My wife of 33 years, Annette Finger, and I live in Marion, less than a mile from the main IWU campus. We worship at Marion First Church of the Nazarene, when in town. We enjoy traveling for business, recreation, and to pursue many personal and family relationships. Our first grandchild, Morgan Ray Finger, born in September, 2014, gives us another reason to travel to Nampa, Idaho, besides the many personal and professional relationships we have at Northwest Nazarene University, in that community.
I have had a number of opportunities to work in collaboration not only with IWU, where I am employed, and NNU, my alma mater, but with other Christian universities as well. Olivet Nazarene University in Illinois, Trevecca Nazarene University in Tennessee, Biola University and Point Loma Nazarene University in California, and Roberts Wesleyan College (my daughter's alma mater) in New York have been the most frequent locations for these.
Other professional interests include childhood and adult immunizations, embryo adoption and assisted reproduction, epidemiologic surveillance and investigations, and the application of Old and New Testament scriptures to the teaching of the health sciences.
In May, 2015, Annette and I have the privilege of fulfilling one of her long-term dreams -- a trip to Israel. We are joining a group hosted by IWU for the ten day "Abraham to Jesus" adventure.
In everything I do, I seek to put Jesus Christ and His kingdom first.
Have a blessed day!
Dr. Reg Finger
